I threw a surprise birthday dinner for my husband last night and it was a large group, 25 people. Everything about the experience was perfect - great communication when setting up the reservation, they accommodated separate checks which was a HUGE plus (we all know how unpleasant it is to split up a massive check at the end of the night), the table set up was great, the ambiance lovely, the staff incredibly fun and friendly, and the food and drinks outstanding!! These events can be chaotic, but everything was super chill, organized, and relaxing. Our server Glenn was wonderful (I didn't forget the 2nd N in your name, my friend! ), and it was impressive he remembered everyone's name by the end of the night! Such an awesome place, and I can't wait to return, whether for an intimate dinner or another big group. Thanks so much for making our event and evening so special and memorable!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW This place was amazing!!! Every aspect of the food was delicious!!!! Every sauce, fish and every morsel of rice was melt in your mouth fricken outrageously yummy!!! We scooped up every bit of sauce off every plate! Read some previous reviews that they considered this place pricey.... No way!!! We spent a bit more than a normal every day run of the mill sushi place that is NO WAY as fresh and innovative as here. Service was great, never had an empty plate on our table for more than 2 min before someone cleared it off. Timing of each dish was precise. Will we return? No doubt!!! May even try to go back tonight if we can get a reservation. Treat yourself and go ASAP!

No matter how much publicity this restaurant receives it could never be enough. The menu items are contingent on what is reasonable but also availability which lens to some of the most creative and innovative food I have ever tasted. The staff masterfully creates the most delicious entrée items that are consistently fresh and bursting with unique flavors that I have never enjoyed anywhere else. They are so knowledgeable and willing to work with food allergies as well as some preferences. This is such an elevated experience and I could not recommend it enough.

Came in here a while back for date night and this place is cute for that setting. Its small with music playing in the background and dim lighting with vibrant colored fish that makes it look really appealing. We drove up about 40 minutes to visit this spot and if i remember correctly we tried their omakase and a few specials. This place was pretty good, but nothing in particular felt special. The fish was good quality, but the flavors weren't exceptionally interesting. We wish there was a little more variety with flavors or something you cant get anywhere else. The dessert was really good and the service was as well.

Plant based sushi lovers unite! I am always relieved to see DELICIOUS and ample plant based options at a seafood restaurant. I've been here twice now and both times were great. The way they fry their tofu here is unlike any other restaurant, it's addicting!! The favorites of the table were the Deadites roll (fried tofu, avocado, sweet chili), the cauliflower, the tuna nigiri, the seaweed salad and the sweet chili chicken entree (okay maybe everything we got ended up being a favorite). Everything came out quickly and the service was great. Definitely make your way to this spot if you're in the area!

Wow! Just Wow! I took my now wife here for a celebration dinner and was so glad I did. Quaint seating outside worked for us because we had our dogs with us. Owner and staff were the right amount of attentive and seemed happy to be there. I highly recommend the Omakase dinner. As a sushi/fish lover, this was a top 5 place I have ever eaten. I have never liked saki but found one here that perfectly matched the dinner. My wife LOVED the restaurant and meal just as much as I did. This is definitely going to be our special occasion place from now on.

If you are looking for fresh and delicious sushi if you are in Oceanside, this is the spot!! I was told about this place from a good friend of mine and he is always right! I can't say enough of how amazing this restaurant is! The servers are so welcoming and knowledgeable with the menu. I recommend together the omakase! Reasonably priced for what you get! I have to warn you how everything here is mouthwatering! When food comes out it looks like art! Beautiful art. I am truly amazed. If I lived closer, I would definitely come here more often.

Visit Date: 1/20/24 Came for my mom's birthday and it was so delicious. The owner stopped by to say hi and the staff were very sweet. Food is exceptional and so flavorful! Since our group was too big, we sat at a standard table but I loved my previous experience at the bar. Highly recommend for a date night or a more casual special occasion!

Was out and about in Oceanside. Had this spot marked to try so I went in. Its fresh and vibrant outside. Inside its a bit dark with table lamps that are bright. But not in your face. Its on the warmer side inside as they only have ceiling fans. Hostess was nice and offered to move us outside but we stayed in. No big deal. Gabe our server was superb. He recommended a few plates. Had a nice chat. Hope your move and schooling goes well, Gabe. They have vegan or at least vegetarian options on the menu. Albacore w crunch garlic black pepper cabbage delicious. Balanced and flavorful sashimi style dish. Lots of flavor. This was off of the special menu. The Pineapple Chorizo Apple Ceviche w Dragonfruit chips was iunno. I cant put my finger on it. It didnt have the acidity that ceviche normally has. The pineapple didnt come through at all. And I swear there was absolutely no chorizo. The avocado puree with the fish n apples was good. That went well. And the dragonfruit chips are quite tasty but not good for scooping up the ceviche. This was off the normal menu. Seared Swordfish w Miso Truffle Glaze was decent. Swordfish as nigiri was a a first time I saw this. Im a fan of swordfish but more as a grilled steak portion. The swordfish doesnt melt like other fishes. This was seared. And it did have that swordfish taste. The Miso Truffle Glaze reminded me of the Papa Johns / Pizza Hut / Dominos garlic sauce. It paired with the swordfish well. This was off the specials menu. 15 Day Aged Blue Fin Nigiri was divine. Very tasty. Loved the black pepper and other sauce it came with. Honestly a steal at $12 for the sashimi. This was off the specials menu. Washed that all down with a Shoots Japanese Lager. Very cold n refreshing. All above was about $85. Id definitely check out Seabasstropub if I were you. Crowd was a mix of young, middle and older folks. All seemed to be on vacay or just upbeat.
